How do I get emergency dental care?
We’re open five days a week and have appointments starting at 7:30 AM. So, if you find yourself struggling with a painful toothache, a crack in your enamel, or another serious dental injury, don’t hesitate to give us a call! That way, a helpful member of our team can learn more about your situation, determine if a same-day visit is necessary, and walk you through exactly what to do (and what not to do) until then.
Important note: If you’re bleeding uncontrollably, you’re having trouble breathing, or you’re experiencing any other potentially life-threatening symptoms, call 911 or head to the ER right away. Then, after you get the medical attention you need, you can head to our office so we can restore your healthy, pain-free smile as well.
What do you do if you can’t afford a dentist?
Oftentimes, patients forget just how costly neglect is. After all, the more time that passes, the worse the decay or infection will get. So, if you want to save money, the best thing to do is to schedule an appointment with us when you first notice that something is wrong – whether there is a small crack in your enamel or you’re dealing with considerable pain and sensitivity.
Of course, our team is also here to help you navigate the financial side of your treatment so it isn’t overwhelming or stressful in any way. Plus, we welcome dental insurance and flexible financing, which helps us work with patients with all kinds of budgets. In short, you don’t have to worry – we’re here to assist with every aspect of your care, including the finances.
What level of education is required to be a dentist?
Becoming a dentist requires immense dedication as well as a lifelong commitment to education. The first step is earning an undergraduate degree and being accepted to an accredited dental school. After that, they must complete years of in-classroom and hands-on training to develop the experience and skills needed to help patients with everything from routine checkups to emergency dentistry. Even after obtaining their dental doctorate, their studies are far from over because they need to complete continuing education hours each year to maintain their license.
As for Dr. Young, the journey to becoming the exceptional dentist he is today began at Villanova University. Following graduation, he attended the University of Pennsylvania Dental School to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine. Over the last 10+ years, he has maintained active memberships with several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Dental Association, to stay abreast of the latest techniques and technologies.
